WHY SHOULD YOU TRAIN YOUR DOG IN SEARCH WORK (DETECTION)?

Within detection work we train highly motivated dogs to search for a specific scent and to communicate when it has been found. This sport is based on the way explosives dogs are trained in the Special Forces. My experience is that it strengthens the cooperation with your dog and how wonderful it is to see that the success experiences give your dog self-confidence! We achieve this by increasing the difficulty step by step based on the game element. You can use detection work as an alternative or addition to the long walk.
